US Postal Cycling Socks

When one thinks of the almighty US Postal team, one generally thinks of Lance Armstrong. And as great as he was (is?), this legendary team had a lot more to offer, but little chance to show it.

Born on the back of the proudly American Motorola team in 1996, the team was full of high hopes with stars such as Viatcheslav Ekimov and George Hincapie. The team only managed mediocre results until in 1999, when Lance Armstrong seemingly came from nowhere to take out his first of many Tours de France.

Interestingly it was the same year that supplier Nike took over the reigns on the team’s clothing contract, including the socks. Prior to then most of the team’s kit had been made by Pearl Izumi.

US Postal stepped down from their sponsorship in 2004 when the team became known as Discovery Channel.

A demand for early days USPS kit led us to these great socks. They are made in Italy and are a “unisize” which means they should fit most. Importantly, they may been worn tall or short depending on your preference.

When we saw them we had to have them, and now they too can be yours! If you’re a real USPS cycling team fan, then you know these can’t be left alone. Available only for a short time and in limited quantities, get in quick.
